Could it be worse? Sure. Is it something I wanted to happen in the middle of marathon training? No. Long story short, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to run the Minneapolis Marathon this June. Right now it really isn’t looking good, but I know if I can’t I can always do Twin Cities in the fall. However I must admit the thing I miss most right now is my strength training classes. I’m able to go to my Thursday circuit class I just can’t do any of the activities that involve jumping. Tuesday tread max is still out as sprinting is a no go for me. I’m hoping to be back next week though.
Due to this injury I tried my first spin class….and LOVED it! I also made a new friend which has been soooooo nice. It’s been nice to get out and have some girl time and also have someone who shares my enthusiasm for group fitness classes. Hoping the warmer weather (if we ever get any??) brings on some fun runs and more afternoon coffees and mayyyyybe some shopping 🙂
Speaking of shopping, we are finally all moved in to the new house. It’s been a crazy couple of weeks and buku bucks have been spent on new furniture and decorations and roof repairs ( #boo ) but it’s worth it as I absolutely love it. We’ve been learning the ins and outs of living in not the city, not yet a suburb. Like they don’t have snow emergencies, you just can’t park your car on the street if there is two inches of snow. (Hello $30 parking ticket…each.) But our neighbors are as nice as can be and loaned this former condo dwelling couple a shovel when we found ourselves completely unprepared for the random 7″ of snow we got two weeks ago. We don’t have a driveway (we have an alley. see again not the city, not yet a suburb) so I only had to shovel our front walk but MAN did it suck. Shoveling is for the birds. Or people contracted by the HOA to clear snow.
So that’s where I’ve been lately. Really hoping to kick this tendinitis into remission and get back at it.
Keep it real,
